About LAWA

Four Lao born American women from Maryland and Virginia, under the leadership of Mrs. Khoune Souvannavong, established the Lao American Women Association (LAWA) of Washington, D.C. Metropolitan Area.

LAWA was incorporated it in the state of Virginia as a non-profit in early 1995. The mission was extended to the support and promotion of the education and empowerment for women.
