Annual Mother's Day Banquet
LAWA originally decided that it would nice to hold a party to introduce our Lao school students to the community and at the same
time to celebrate women as well as to raise funds for our general operation. We, therefore, decided to piggyback on the Mother's Day
celebration (second Sunday in May). In 2004, we decided that we would award our scholarship at this banquet too.
The Mother's Day banquet is held annually to:
| | |
Raise necessary funds |
| | |
Showcase the students' dance repertoire, learned in our school |
| | |
Celebrate all mothers for their kindness and giving |
| | |
let the community know about our work |
| | |
Award the scholarship |
